Xbox 360 Live / Verizon Fios HELP!?

OK I have Verizon modem / router thingy to connect to my computer and Xbox Live. .. Internet works fine Well ... I can subscribe to Xbox Live, but is very, very lazy and disruptive when someone is on your computer. Its really bad. I Verizon Ethernet from the router / modem to my Xbox 360 and that is probably 1-2 minutes to sign. I used to have Comcast, my connection was beautiful! So what I did was I took my Netgear router connected to my Veizon modem / router thingy, Put out the power cord, an Ethernet cable is connected to the Netgear router my Xbox 360. This does not work, so try the connection and does not work. It says ... The DNS servers can not reslove Xbox Live and Xbox.com PLEASE HELP!

Have you tried resetting the router and follow the instructions on solving problems on Xbox Live? Try setting the IP address of the Xbox 360 manual. You can have the same IP address of the computer that might cause interference.
